First Shift Justice Project is a D.C. based 501(c)(3) organization that helps working mothers in low wage jobs exercise their workplace rights to avoid job loss. We educate pregnant women and parents about their workplace rights; train prenatal medical providers about workplace laws; provide direct legal services up to and including representation; and advocate for stronger laws and systems of enforcement that protect working mothers.
